Shortly after graduating from The Ohio State University with a degree from the College of Business, Rector began his 30-year food industry career. After progressing through sales, marketing, and senior management positions at Keebler, International Multifoods, and Tri Valley Growers, three years ago Rector established the effess group, a consulting practice focused on sales productivity and eBusiness initiatives for the foodservice industry, where he served as President and Chief Client Officer.

Rector will be responsible for marketing, sales, and business relations for Foodservice University, an Internet-based training platform. “What attracted us to Tom is his background in a broad variety of business environments and models within the retail and foodservice industries. He is an excellent candidate to lead the development and expansion of our products and services within the food manufacturing, distribution, and chain restaurant segments.
